Trust Alliance Group Warrington Foodbank cheque donation 2022

Colleagues from Trust Alliance Group surprised Warrington Foodbank with a donation of £5000 this week to help towards the running of their distribution centre and other food banks in the local area.

Colleagues from Trust Alliance Group surprised Warrington Foodbank with a donation of £5000 this week to help towards the running of their distribution centre and other food banks in the local area.

David Addison (Finance Director), Simon Thornton (Senior Leader, Legitimacy) and John Thornbury (Legitimacy Manager) made the visit to hand over the cheque and give volunteers a helping hand at the foodbank, a project founded by local churches and community groups working together towards stopping hunger in the local area.

Through various initiatives throughout the year, colleagues at Trust Alliance Group have been able to generously donate money, clothes, vouchers, food and over 150 volunteer hours to Warrington Foodbank, which is one of many local community projects the organisation works hard to support.

Simon Thornton, Senior Leader for Legitimacy at Trust Alliance Group, said: “The work Warrington Foodbank and their volunteers are doing in the local area is crucial for those in need. We are proud to play a part in that, whether that’s a donation like today or colleagues volunteering at the centre – supporting community projects is something we’re extremely passionate about.”

David McDonald, Warrington Foodbank Chief Executive Officer, said: “It’s been an excellent year working with Trust Alliance Group, even with difficulties around the cost of energy and food prices. Financial contributions like this support us in purchasing food stock as and when it’s necessary. Without Trust Alliance Group support throughout the year, we would find things a lot more difficult financially and operationally, and we look forward to continuing this partnership with them in 2023 and beyond.”

Helping Warrington Foodbank this Christmas is just one of many community projects that Trust Alliance Group gets involved with throughout the year, alongside volunteer work with Camp Project Wales, Mersey Forest, Halton Women’s Centre, Cares Family Club and more.
