Colleagues from Trust Alliance Group took part in a hugely successful cake sale during the company’s Summer Family Fun Day in Daresbury on Saturday 17th June, managing to raise £2000 for Room at the Inn.

Gareth Williams, Group Support Services Director, and John Thornbury, Legitimacy Manager, at Trust Alliance Group visited the Warrington-based charity this week to hand over the cheque.

Room at the Inn provides daytime services and emergency accommodation for homeless and vulnerable people across the area. The charity also supplies essentials like food and drink, showering facilities, clean clothing and food bank vouchers to people in need.

Helen and Zoe, managers at Room at the Inn said “We’d like to thank everyone at Trust Alliance Group for the money they raised from the cake sale. This money will be used within our homeless day centre at Winmarleigh Street, which is reliant on community donations to keep our doors open.

“We work with many people who are homeless, as well as those newly finding themselves homeless. We’re able to give a lot of advice, help with completing paperwork, and make appropriate referrals to housing and other services. These funds will allow us to continue providing all these services and supporting those who are most in need in our community.”

Simon Thornton, Senior Leader for Legitimacy at Trust Alliance Group, added: “Room at the Inn provides a vital service for those experiencing homelessness in our local area. I’m extremely grateful that our colleagues have come together to provide this generous donation so the fantastic volunteers at Room at the Inn can continue the important work they’re doing.”

Trust Alliance Group’ work with Room at the Inn is just one of many ongoing partnerships with charities across the region. The company regularly provides donations and volunteering opportunities for colleagues at Warrington Foodbank, Mersey Forest, Camp Project Wales, and the Cares Family.
